PEDACON Cooperative Society

PEDACON was formed in 2012 as farmers group comprising of 45 members, 15 which are female and 30 males. In 2015, PEDACON became a full cooperative after registering with ministry of trade and industry under cooperative act CAP 112 with certificate number P4207/RCS .

PEDACON currently has 2329 members with 1300 female and 1029 males. The PEDACON is a strategic response to artificial constraints to the full experience of farmers’ potential

The goal of PEDACON is strategizing ways of elevating individual farmers and communities using local innovative solution that are holistic, sustainable and evidence led Connected to this initiative, PEDACON cooperative engages in creative thinking, stimulative training of local farmers, encouragement of modern farming methods, search for market produce, evidence based community service, interfacing with co-operative members and strategic partnership and investment.

GOVERNANCE: The PEDACON co-operative is governed by nine (9) member board of governors who are dynamic and committed team. The board members are elected by members of the co-operative after every one year in the annual general meeting.

MISSION:

    Kikooba United Cooperative Society Ltd started in 2002 as farmer group with 30 members, it later registered as a multipurpose cooperative on 9th Dec 2004, Reg No: 7213.

    Vision: is a leading society with improved livelihood and income of individual farmers.

    Mission: a society with a competitive edge in sustained and increased agricultural productivity and other services leading to improved livelihood and income of members.
